College Basketball Picks for February 3rd

Posted by deaconcat08 on February 3rd, 2010

These spreads are based on the current lines according to the World Sports Exchange, and they are ordered from most confident to least confident.

George Mason (-1.0) vs. Georgia State- Hmm… the conference records for these two teams are 10-1 and 3-8.  I’ll take the 10 win team please!

Charlotte (-7.5) vs. George Washington- As a result of their five-game winning streak, I’m starting to believe this 49er team can do some damage in March.  GWU has also gotten slaughtered in all their road games against the upper echelon A-10 teams.

UAB (+7.0) vs. Memphis- The Memphis mystique is gone, and UAB has been waiting to knock off the Tigers for several years now.  They’ll come into town hungry and ready to pull the upset.  Besides, an NIT at-large team should never be a 7 point favorite against a Big Dance at-large team regardless of where they’re playing.

William & Mary (+11.5) vs. Old Dominion- I know the Tribe have been struggling lately, but it’s hard for me to believe that a team that beat both Maryland and Wake on the road won’t be able to hang with ODU.

Vanderbilt (-6.0) vs. Mississippi State- The Commodores will be looking to bounce back strong after a bad loss to Kentucky, and MSU has had major road troubles with recent losses to Arkansas, Bama, and Western Kentucky.  If you can’t win in Bowling Green this year, then you don’t stand a chance in Memorial Gym.

Yesterday’s Record: 2-0, Overall Record: 7-6 (back over .500!)
