These are in order from my most confident pick to least confident. Lines are based on the current spreads at the Caesars Sportsbook.
Atlanta (-2.5) vs. Washington- (Sun) 1:00– The Falcons came through for me when I picked them to win and cover as a slight home favorite against Carolina and Houston in weeks 1 and 5, so I am going to take them again in a similar spot against Washington. The Commanders looked absolutely atrocious last week, and while I think they will bounce back to a certain extent this week, Atlanta has played quite well at home.
Miami (-13.5) vs. Carolina- (Sun) 1:00– The Dolphins absolutely destroyed the Giants last week, and I think the Panthers are a cut below the G-Men. Meanwhile, the Panthers got pummeled by a Lions team that is inferior to this Dolphins squad. The Fins should have no trouble winning this one by at least two touchdowns, as the Panthers have firm control over the title of the league’s worst team right now.
Las Vegas (-3.0) vs. New England- (Sun) 4:05– The Patriots have just looked so bad the past few weeks that I don’t see how they will be competitive on the road against a Raiders team that is shaping into form this season.
Kansas City (-10.5) vs. Denver- (Th) 8:15– Divisional games are always tough to predict, but I have a hard time seeing the Broncos keeping this one close against the defending Super Bowl champions after losing to the lowly Jets by double-digits at home last week and then losing by 50 to Miami two weeks before that.
Houston (+1.0) vs. New Orleans- (Sun) 1:00– The Texans have been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far, as they scored back-to-back blowout victories against the Jaguars and Steelers after being picked to be the league’s worst team by many preseason experts. Houston did lose a road heartbreaker to the aforementioned Falcons last Sunday, but I am predicting they come back home and bounce back with a win against a Saints team that is due for a letdown performance after their big win in New England last weekend.
Last Week’s Record: 5-0, Overall Season Record: 18-7 (yes, you read that right. I had a perfect 5-0 NFL week for the second time in three weeks!)
