Brad’s 2024 College Football Preview- Heisman Trophy Picks

Every summer since 2007 I have created an intricate set of college football predictions for each upcoming season.  This year is no exception, as I will be using my blog over the next few hours to publish my 18th annual college football preview guide which will contain 19 entries in all.  Here is my predicted Heisman order of finish for 2023.

1Jalon Daniels, Kansas
2Will Howard, Ohio State
3Carson Beck, Georgia
4Dillon Gabriel, Oregon
5Quinn Ewers, Texas
6Cade Klubnik, Clemson
7Riley Leonard, Notre Dame
8Jalen Milroe, Alabama
9Ollie Gordon II, Oklahoma State
10Cam Ward, Miami-FL

I am obviously going “all in” on my Kansas surprise pick this year, as I am picking their prolific quarter Jalon Daniels to take home not just the Big 12 title but also the Heisman Trophy. This seems like it would be a great redemption story, as Daniels had to miss the bulk of last season due to a back injury. In fact, it reminds me a lot of Michael Penix who was an extremely talented college quarterback but couldn’t stay healthy until his final collegiate season. Penix, of course, went on to be runner-up for both the national title and the Heisman trophy last season, and while I don’t think Daniels leads this Kansas team quite that far in the playoffs, he is my preseason pick to take home the 2024 Heisman Trophy.
