My weekly picks are back! For the 17th consecutive season, I am going to be posting my weekly college football and NFL picks against the spread and my upsets to watch out for on this blog. As usual, we will start with my upset picks, where I correctly picked at least one upset every single week of the past four seasons except for conference championship week in 2023 (which is ironic because I witnessed one of the greatest upsets I have ever seen live in college basketball that day as UNCW beat Kentucky in Rupp Arena). I also correctly picked 21 double-digit underdog victories during that timeframe (10 of which came last season). Without further ado, here are my week 1 upsets to watch out for. The upsets below are in order from least shocking to most shocking according to the current lines at the ESPN Bet Sportsbook.

Fresno State (+1.5) vs. Georgia Southern- 9:30

California (+1.5) at Oregon State- 10:30

LSU (+4.5) at Clemson- 7:30

Northwestern (+4.5) vs. Tulane- 12:00

Virginia Tech (+7.5) vs. South Carolina- (Sun) 3:00
