Now, that I have published my list of best and worst sports of 2025 it is time for me to evaluate which are the worst sports moments of every year of my life and beyond. As a sports history buff, there are stories I have either fallen in love or been devastated by that span back as the 1950’s, so altogether, I have come up with a list of my worst sports moments for every year since 1951. Again, these are not what are necessarily considered the objectively terrible moments of each year, but instead these are my personally least favorite sports moment from each calendar year. Please note that the bolded moments below are my worst sports moment from each decade.
