Brad’s 2015 College Football Preview- Surprise Picks

Every summer since 2007 I have created an intricate set of college football predictions for the upcoming season.  This year is no exception, as I will be using my blog over the next few weeks to publish my predictions.  The one major modification to my predictions for 2015 is that I have gone through every team’s schedule and actually predicted the result of every game in FBS.  Without further ado, here are the teams I am predicting to surprise this season.  These teams are ordered in the relative disparity between my picks and the experts average while also taking into account the significance of each pick.

4 Nebraska 23rd in nation (+11); 1st in Big 10 West (+1) 34th in nation; 2nd in Big 10 West
5 Navy 34th in nation (+34); 1st in AAC West (+2) 68th in nation; 3rd in AAC West
6 Old Dominion 36th in nation (+74); 1st in C-USA East (+3) 110th in nation; 1st in C-USA East
7 Duke 24th in nation (+24); 2nd in ACC Coastal (+4) 48th in nation; 6th in ACC Coastal
8 Ohio 59th in nation (+32); 2nd in MAC East (+1) 91st in nation; 3rd in MAC East
9 New Mexico 65th in nation (+36); 3rd in MWC Mountain (+2) 101st in nation; 5th in MWC Mountain
