Every summer since 2007 I have created an intricate set of college football predictions for each upcoming season. This year is no exception, as I will be using my blog over the next few weeks to publish my 14th annual college football preview guide which will contain 19 entries in all (see July 28th article for full schedule). Without further ado, here are the teams I am predicting to disappoint this season. These teams are ordered in the relative disparity between my picks and the experts average while also taking into account the significance of each pick.

As you can see from above, my # 1 disappointment team for the 2020 season is the Georgia Bulldogs. Yes, the defense should be excellent, but after two years of closely watching quarterback Jamie Newman play at my alma mater Wake Forest I just don’t see him living up to the lofty expectations set for him this season at Georgia. He was very mistaken-prone at Wake and also never faced the elite defensive lines that he will see in the SEC. The Dawgs schedule is also brutal which is why I am calling them to lose three games this season and finish third in the SEC East.
