These are in order from least shocking to most shocking according to the current lines at the Caesars Sportsbook.
Michigan State (+3.0) vs. Minnesota- 3:30– Sparty will be playing with something to prove after getting embarrassed in Seattle last weekend. Think they should definitely take this one at home. |
Arizona (+3.5) vs. LA Rams- (Sun) 4:25– Both of these teams have been underwhelming to start the 2022 season, but I think Kyler Murray steps it up at home to get the victory in this one. |
Pittsburgh (+4.5) at Cleveland- (Th) 8:15- This will be a tight battle between two divisional rivals that both have questions at quarterback. The Browns have pulled off several surprising upsets of the Steelers over the years, so I think it may be time for Pittsburgh to return the favor. |
Hawaii (+4.5) at New Mexico State- 8:00– Two terrible football teams… one team has to win and I am going with the squad that at least won a game so far this season. |
Texas Tech (+7.0) vs. Texas- 3:30– The classic University of Texas meltdown spot where all of their early season promise gets squashed by an in-state rival. |
Duke (+7.0) at Kansas- 12:00– This maybe the most surprising battle of week 4 unbeatens of all-time. The Jayhawks have been playing out of their minds the past few Saturdays, so they have to throw in a dud at some point, right? |
Western Michigan (+7.0) at San Jose State– 10:30- Should be a really close game between two teams that I consider to be evenly matched. Broncos have something to prove after underperforming in their first two non-conference games of the season. |
Miami-OH (+7.5) at Northwestern- 7:30– The Redhawks have owned this series historically (6 out of 9 wins in the series) which includes a shocking upset over the 1995 Wildcat squad that later played in the Rose Bowl. This Miami of Ohio team is also a lot better than the Southern Illinois squad Northwestern just lost to. |
UL-Monroe (+9.0) vs UL-Lafayette- 8:00– The Warhawks always play the Ragin’ Cajuns tough in this in-state rivalry, and with Louisiana down a little bit this year, this seems like the pefect time for them to spring the upset. |
Virginia (+10.0) at Syracuse- (Fri) 7:00– The Orange have been one of the biggest early season surprise stories in college football, but Virginia isn’t as bad as people think. If the Orange still celebrating their miraculous final minute win over Purdue, then they will be in a rude awakening in this one. |
Florida (+10.5) at Tennessee- 3:30– This game is always close, and Florida usually finds a way to win it in the end. The Gators have wrecked the hopes and dreams of past unbeaten Tennessee teams, and I think they could do the same on Saturday. |
Louisiana Tech (+13.0) at South Alabama- 7:00– This seems like a hangover game for the Jaguars who may still be dwelling on their heartbreaking loss to UCLA last weekend. |
South Florida (+14.5) at Louisville- 12:00– If the Bulls can go into the Swamp and almost come away with a victory, there is no reason they can’t finish the job on the road against the Cardinals. |
Indiana (+16.5) at Cincinnati- 3:30– The Hoosiers went toe-to-toe with a much better Cincinnati team last year, and they should be riding high into this one after multiple nail-biting wins to start the season. |
Last week’s Upset Pick of the Week: Kansas (+9.0) over Houston (the Jayhawks are on fire!)
